Iced Coffee in Ohrid, Explained

- 13iced coffees
- 120–180denars
- 250 mlevery serving

Freddo espresso and freddo cappuccino
In summer across the Balkans the default coffee is a freddo: espresso served cold over ice, the Greek-style drink you will find in almost every cafe in the region. At BITE the freddo espresso is a double espresso over ice, 130 denars, with nothing else in the glass. The freddo cappuccino adds milk, 140 denars.
If you are used to ordering “an iced coffee” elsewhere and getting a sweet milk drink, the freddo espresso is the opposite: strong, unsweetened unless you ask, and vegan as served.
Cold brew and iced americano
The cold brew is 100% Arabica, cold-filtered and served over ice for 120 denars. It is smoother and less bitter than espresso over ice, which makes it the one to choose on a very hot afternoon or if espresso is usually too sharp for you. The iced americano — double espresso, water and ice — is the same price and closer to a black coffee.

The tiramisu latte, and the other iced lattes
The plain iced latte — double espresso, milk and ice — is 100 denars, the cheapest milk coffee on the cold menu. Vanilla, hazelnut and pumpkin lattes add syrup for 150.
The tiramisu latte is the drink BITE is known for: double espresso, milk, ice and syrup, 180 denars. It is sweet, it is a dessert as much as a coffee, and it is the one people photograph. Ask for cashew milk and it is vegan.
Coffee with ice cream
Two drinks are built on ice cream and cannot be made dairy-free. The Ice Coffee is double espresso, milk, ice cream and ice, 140 denars. The Affogato is a scoop of ice cream with espresso poured over it and a dusting of cocoa, 180 denars — half drink, half dessert.
